Caribbean Cruise: Day 2

September 3, 2012
Day at Sea
We got up a little after 8:00 a.m.  The sunrise was beautiful.  This is why we loved having the balcony state room...

We could see the "bridge" from our balcony - kind of cool!  Tracy liked that he could smoke out on the balcony.

After getting ready for the day, we went to breakfast in the main dining room.  We sat next to another couple and had a nice chat.  We just kind of wandered the ship today.  We saw tons of little flying fish - very hard to catch on film, though!

The ocean was extremely calm - yea!!!

Me - enjoying the view, the calm sea, and, of course, a Mimosa!

At 10:30 a.m., we went to a meeting with the cruise director who talked about things to do onboard ship, in the different ports, and how things work on the ship.
We ate a light lunch in the Unicorn Cafe.  After lunch, we walked a mile around the ship's deck for some exercise - it was fun to people watch while walking.  It is quite amazing to me what some people will wear in public!!!!

We spent some time out on our balcony reading - that was so relaxing and quiet.  At 2:30 p.m. I took a half hour Zumba class in the main lobby.  It was hard but fun!!!  Love my Zumba!!!

We played a game of Putt Putt on the upper deck.  I don't think it even took us 15 minutes!  It was a pretty pathetic course!!!  Nice views, though.

I took a nap later in the afternoon while Tracy read out on the balcony.  What a nice relaxing day!  Seas were calm the entire day!

Then we got ready for dinner.  Tonight was "elegant" night.  We didn't dress up a whole lot but did bring along nice clothes.  We sat in a new spot in the Truffles dining room and loved our new waiter and his assistants.  The entire wait staff sang a song for the passengers... cute!

Throughout the day, mostly in the evenings, they have areas set up where you can get your picture taken with different backgrounds.  You can have as many photos taken as you want and just pay for the ones you like.  The first photo is the one we purchased; I didn't think it was real flattering so I cropped it.

After dinner and the photos, we photographed the sunset and then went to the Firebird Lounge to hear a comedian - she was pretty funny!  At 9:00 p.m., we went to the Follies Show Lounge for a Jazz show - they did a good job (no photographs were allowed to be taken).  It was an enjoyable evening.

Then it was back to our cabin to crash for the rest of the evening.  Of course, they turned down our bed each evening, left mints on our pillow, and did some type of towel art...
