Still on the plane from Chicago to Frankfurt, Germany. They served us breakfast a few hours after dinner (there is a 7 hour time difference between Chicago and Frankfurt and they wanted to acclimate us to the new time). I always hate that because it seems we eat dinner, sleep a few hours, then it is already time for breakfast!
We arrived in Frankfurt around 8:30 a.m. We had a 5 hour layover!! I was really tired so Brenda bought some postcards and we sat in McDonalds for a while as she wrote postcards and I rested my eyes. We walked around the stores for awhile to stretch our legs.
We met up with the rest of the group at 11:30 a.m. We went through passport control and then through security. The next leg of our trip is flying from Frankfurt to Athens, Greece. We found our gate and chatted awhile until it was time to board our next flight.
We arrived in Athens around 5:30 p.m. We got our luggage without any difficulty and met our tour guide for Greece, Nani.

Nani took us to our hotel and got us checked in. After settling in our rooms, it was about time for dinner. Dinner was in the hotel. It was a 4 course meal. Dinner was very rich, very tasty, and very large portions!! 1st course: a spinach/cheese pastry. 2nd course: a salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, feta cheese, and peppers. 3rd course: 2 pork filets on a bed of rice. 4th course: dessert - Italian panacotta with strawberry sauce (it was incredibly fantastic!!!).

After dinner, we walked across the street to a newstand to get some bottled water for tomorrow. There are newstands everywhere. Athens is a very busy city even late at night! Then it was to our rooms for the evening.
Tomorrow is an exciting day!!
